Good Thing I Didn't Rename My Blog

So, my triathalon came and went without a single post regarding my training, thoughts, insight, etc. (after that initial post where I suggested I change the name of my blog). Needless to say, it's a good thing I didn't do that. Anyway, the triathalon was last Sunday, and it went well. I finished, which was my only goal, and I even came out of the swim course in first place (out of my friends running in the race - not the entire field of athletes; are you kidding me?). So it looks like my swim training paid off. More on all this another day when I have more time, but for now this is all I have to say - the bike course was not flat and fast. The website lied.

I Used To Like Receiving Mail

This all came out of my mailbox tonight.

{I'm realizing now this doesn't look as impressive in a photo}

Granted, I haven't checked my mail in a week, but still - that is a lot of mail!! To be exact, it is 3# 13 oz of mail. And the sad thing is, every bit of it is junk mail, magazines, solicitations, business stuff, or bills. wah wah

Some of you may be thinking about now, "Why were solicitations separated from junk mail?" The reason for that, my friends, is that I get mail from one organization that is very close to my heart that I could never consider junk, even if all their mail is in attempt to collect donations. And that organization, you may have guessed, is ASP. Oh how I love them, in spite of their frequent mailings for donations.

Bucket List Item #1

I recently checked an item off my life bucket list; the first of a few this summer. What was it you ask?

Attend a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

I saw the Avett Brothers at Red Rocks on July 9, 2011 with my brother and his girlfriend, Rachel. It was amazing - the music, the talent, the atmosphere, the scenery. Everything about it was bliss. Except the rain that accompanied us on our walk towards the venue. But even that wasn't bad...because who doesn't love playing in rain!?!

{whoever thought it would be a good idea to make this place into an amphitheater was a genius}

{how neat is that with the city lights shining in the background?!}

Again I say, pure bliss!
