Spring is Here!

Spring is finally here! Although the past week was pretty rainy (and this week promises to be the same) there have been some absolutely gorgeous Spring days this year. I just love the hope of this season and all the life that is returning and flourishing in nature.

Mother's day weekend was one occasion in which the weather was perfect! I couldn't stand to let the days go to waste, so I spent every possible second outside enjoying the warm air and sunshine. (I also enjoyed 'grilling food' by making home-made guacamole burgers and veggie skewers on my new mini grill. Mmmm!) Along the way, I even managed to captured some of the beauty and vibrancy of Spring in the photos below.

Today is National Day of Prayer

Who knew?! I didn't until I read my daily tear-away calendar.
So anyway, say your prayers and don't forget to thank God for all the good in your life.

As I head to bed, I will share this bed time prayer I learned when I was little and continue to start (or end) my nightly prayers with to this day...

Now I lay me down to sleep;
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
If I should live for other days,
I pray the Lord to guide my ways.
